Notarizing Chinese graduation and degree certificates before returning to your home country ensures their authenticity and legal recognition.

This process is crucial for: - Authentication: Verifies legitimacy of documents. - Legal Recognition: Ensures acceptance by institutions, employers, and government agencies. - Employment: Simplifies verification for job applications. - Further Education: Required for admission to further studies. - Immigration: Necessary for visa and residency applications. - Professional Licensure: Needed for obtaining licenses or certifications.

Type of Documents / Steps

  1. Translation and Notarization at Notary Public Office: Translate and notarize documents at the Notary Public (公证处) in your city to receive a 公证书. 公证书 彩页_-_introduction_for_notary(1).jpg
  2. Legalization at Foreign Affairs Office: Take the 公证书 to the Foreign Affairs Office (外事办) of your city for the first round of legalization, known as "单认证". 外事办_foreign_affairs_office.png
  3. Legalization at the Consulate General or Embassy known as "双认证":
    • If you need to do double certification (双认证)， please contact the Foreign Affairs Office(外事办). They will contact the embassy for certification on step 2. No need to contact the embassy yourself
      • For Thai people in Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia, you can apply double certification (双认证) with the Foreign Affairs Office(外事办)
      • For other natonalities, please contact your embassy for more information

How to Get the China Higher Education Degree Online Verification Report:

  • Create an account on 学信网 and apply for academic degree certification through the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center. Refer to: http://jwc.xjtucc.cn/info/1076/1549.htm (See photo of step 1-3)

  • “Academic Information File: 学信档案” [Steps] 1. Visit the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center ( https://www.chsi.com.cn/ or Log-in at https://my.chsi.com.cn/archive/index.action 登录学信档案_-_log_in_to_your_academic_credentials.png

    1. For the first login, you need to register an account on China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center and log in to your China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center profile. https://account.chsi.com.cn/account/preregister.action?from=archive create_account_-_chsi.com.cn.png

  • After logging in, you must update all information in your profile before going to the next step - click on the "在线验证报告: Online Verification Report” column to apply for the Chinese version of - "中国高等教育学位在线验证报告: Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate".

    • Click on the " Send Report Abroad: 出国报告发送" column to apply for the translated version (English) of the "Online Verification Report of the Ministry of Education's Student Status", "Electronic Registration and Filing Form for Academic Degrees of the Ministry of Education", and "Online Verification Report of China's Higher Education Degrees". 在线验证报告_-_application.png 中国高等教育学位在线验证报告.png
